On January 9, 2006 within the framework of preparation for 230 meters dive we performed a training dive to 180 meters. The aim was configuration adjustment and support-divers exercise.

On January 11, 2006 in Dahab, within the deep trimix program Andrey Chistyakov successfully completed a dive to 222 meters. The total time below the surface was more than 4 hours. The bottom exposure was about 1 minute. Decompression was carried out by two VR3 computers with conservatism level of 0%. Preliminary planning and calculation of gases quantity, and also an emergency plan were completed in Z-planner program, conservatism 30%. The descent speed - 33 meters per minute, ascent speed before 100 meters mark - 20 meters per minute, from 100 to 6 meters - 10 meters per minute, from 6 to surface - 1 meter per minute. The planned depth of 230 meters was not achieved because of unexpected contour in the place of diving, simply speaking, there was the bottom:).

Diving was completed without a rope, in El Bells area, the decompression was carried out while free floatation along the Northern wall and inside Blue Hole.
